This English translation of the Flower Adornment Sutra commonly known as the Avatamsaka Sutra includes lively commentary by Tripitaka Master Hua, which makes the sutra’s lofty principles accessible to the reader.

Known as the “King of Kings” of all Buddhist scriptures because of its profundity and great length with more than 700,000 Chinese characters. This sutra contains the most complete explanation of the Buddha’s realization and the 52 steps in a cultivator’s quest for awakening. With detailed explanations of every stage of the Bodhisattva Path, it is the ultimate handbook imparting valuable tools and methods of practical cultivation for monks, nuns and lay people seeking spiritual guidance.

When completed, the entire sutra text with commentary will comprise 75-100 volumes. (28 volumes have been published to date.)
